Founded in 1954 by René J. Leclair, St. Johns Packaging is a vertically integrated manufacturer of flexible packaging products that are sold to leading food and consumer product companies. Still controlled by the Leclair family, the company currently operates wholly-owned subsidiaries in Canada, the United States, Mexico, the United Kingdom, China, Vietnam and Australia, employing more than 950 dedicated employees.

Operating since 1954, this second plant in Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu focuses on film production. With multiple state-of-the-art film extrusion lines capable of producing up to 5-layer films

In 1987, St. Johns Packaging acquired JT Packaging. It has capabilities to provide printed material and wicket bags. With multiple flexographic presses up to 10 colors and several wicket bag machines.

Ho Chi Minh City

Binh Duong

Incorporated in 2016 and located in the province of Binh Duong, St. Johns Packaging’s first manufacturing facility in Vietnam is focused on flexographic printing and bag making. 

Ho Chi Minh City

Acquired in January 2020, this second facility in Vietnam (located in Ho Chi Minh City) specializes in high quality blown film extrusion.

St. Johns Packaging will be looking to develop the Mexican market via its Embalaje St. Johns, S. de R.L. de C.V. Greenfield subsidiary which is expected to begin operations during the second half of 2020.

In May 2022, St. Johns Packaging acquired Plasticos Uribe. This facility has capabilities for extrusion, printing, laminating and bag making.

Greensboro

In 2009, St. Johns Packaging acquired North State Flexibles. This facility focuses on flexographic printing up to 10 colors, solvent-less lamination, manufacturing of wicket bags, laminated material and pouches. 

Kunshan

In 2005, St. Johns Packaging opened its first manufacturing location in Asia. This facility has capabilities to extrude film, flexographic printing up to 10 colors, and bag making. 

Ilkeston

In June 2020 St. Johns Packaging acquired Amcor Flexibles’ UK bakery packaging business. This facility focuses on flexographic printing up to 10 colors and bag making.
